We Have Adopted Seven Babies

When Michelle drove into our driveway after church today she saw seven or so little chickies about the size of her thumb (before they fluffed out). At dinner, she announced that they were sent from heaven on Easter so we would no longer be empty-nesters.

Click on the photos for cute close-ups.

Cars have been stopping and neighbors have been coming by to look. When people get too close, the mom takes her chicks to hide in our hedge. They appear to be Gray Francolins, a type of partridge.

This evening, the mom and dad each took some of the chicks under their wings to sleep. All of the chicks are under there somewhere.

Commercial: Send in your Seven Days photos (see my last post!!)
